Things have to be taken care of before heading out on a dangerous mission. Can’t have these brothers stay mad at each other. Amy’s card reading is what sent her on her lifelong mission to be with Sonic. But in this series, it’s setting her up for something else.

Mobius Comics was created with the intent to bring back the characters and stories from the Archie comics but integrating elements from the games and other Sonic franchises. No matter what aspect of Sonic you’re familiar with, you’ll find things that are both familiar and new in this series. Another thing that will be the focus is consistent updates and putting out as much content as possible.
If you’d like to help support the series then you can on Patreon. Every dollar helps and is always appreciated. Patrons get pages a week early and at full resolution. Pledging more gets you more perks and that in turn helps in the creation of even more content such as illustrations and even more pages.

Uh… OK, Mary Rose getting her life’s decision-making from tarot cards is hitting me from left field. This a creative interpretation of a game or comic or am I just missing something? Personal character addition? If so, I like it, she was pretty dang bland before, but I’m trying to figure out if this has a source…?
Instead of dating advice they’re giving her tactical information!
It’s literally how she met Sonic in Sonic CD (her first game). She did a tarot card reading, and they told her she would meet her True Love and hero at Never Lake. She went to Never Lake, and lo and behold met Sonic.
She was then immediately got kidnapped by Metal Sonic, but that just reinforced in her mind that Sonic was The One. That turned her into the fanatical fangirl character that she’s only in the last decade or so grown out of.
Well that explains a few things. I didn’t own the games myself as a kid, only played some of them at a friends’ house, and CD wasn’t one of them. I saw the early cartoons wherein she was extremely annoying, though, and grew to like Sally despite her inconsistent characterization. At least “In love with main character” wasn’t her entire personality, ya know? 😛
The only “early cartoon” that Amy even appears in is Sonic X, where… she is a full-on stalker fangirl, yes.
She never had that personality in Archie (either version), IDW or in Fleetway (actually, Fleetway!Amy’s a hoot, she’s actually my favorite version), and while she had that personality in the games she’s since grown out of it. So X remains the only place where she has that personality…
…but also the most successful romance between her and Sonic, ironically? In the French dub Sonic straight-up confesses he loves her (though 4Kids edited the question and answer both out, and in the original Japanese we don’t hear Sonic’s answer).
