This is quite the departure for how the Archie/SatAM Freedom Fighters operated. They were more about sneaking around and sabotaging Robotnik’s plans in secret. That’s because they didn’t have the power to fight head on. But if you consider the games, players were able to go through everything with minimal or no help from other characters. And with the Freedom Fighters being more powerful individually, each member could potentially stop Eggman on their own. Don’t feel bad for Eggman. He’ll be able to match their combined might and still be a major threat.

Mobius Comics was created with the intent to bring back the characters and stories from the Archie comics but integrating elements from the games and other Sonic franchises. No matter what aspect of Sonic you’re familiar with, you’ll find things that are both familiar and new in this series.
