We learn quite a bit about Amy. Or rather get hints of it. In the Archie comics, Amy was actually royalty of some kind. Her cousin was Rob O’ the Hedge, a Robin Hood type of character that was also a prince. Amy’s life just keeps getting worse the more she realizes what has happened and that’s starting to awaken something in her. We’re still learning about Little Planet and now Amy herself has some mystery about her.

Mobius Comics was created with the intent to bring back the characters and stories from the Archie comics but integrating elements from the games and other Sonic franchises.
